PARENTS

The parents’ role is extremely important and plays a vital part in a KEIKI child’s world, as mentioned in our philosophy. KEIKI believes in two main ideas. First, that school and parents should work in tandem for the common goal for the child. Second, that there is continuity between what the child learns at school and at home and that they are of equal importance. This balance must be maintained by continuous effort and communication between both school and parents. We believe that even a quick discussion in that brief moment when parents come to KEIKI to drop-off/pick-up their child, assists in supporting this balance. We cannot express enough that we need parents as our partners to bring out the best in each child.

There are a number of ways in which parents can assist us in providing the children with the best possible education.

Support and encourage your child to develop a positive sense of self-worth
Discuss any problems or worries directly with the teacher
Read the weekly newsletters and notice boards
Share any hobbies, interests, or expertise you may have with the children
