Keiki Intercultural Preschool is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme and pursuing authorization as an IB World School.

The IB PYP program draws on research and best practices from a range of national educational systems. The result is a relevant, engaging and challenging curriculum with a global perspective for all students.
Although the PYP program serves children aged all the way from 3 – 12, it “ … acknowledges the unique needs of early learners, aged 3 to 6 years." It is a distinguishing feature of the programme which recognizes that learners in this age range require approaches to learning and teaching that honors their developmental stage, and the importance of play as a vehicle for inquiry.
Assessment
Assessment in the PYP is focused on the child's progress and growth, rather than on a set standard of achievement. Teachers use a variety of assessment methods to gather evidence of student learning, including observation, conversation, and student work.
IB Learner Profile
The IB learner profile is a set of 10 attributes that the International Baccalaureate (IB) aims to develop in its students. These attributes are:
